The History of Food From the Hood

Food From the Hood was a student-run business created by students at Crenshaw High School in the wake of the L.A. Uprising (aka the L.A. Riots) in 1992. The students grew and sold vegetables, then created salad dressing. Through the years, students throughout the Los Angeles area benefited from the program. They used the skills they learned from the program to persevere in the job market in their adult lives
